We climb and climb and climb and climb, gathering a few treasures on the way, like the Air Anchor.

Then we see this guy.

Looks like we angered someone.

A magical ghost man! Well we berserk him, beat him down with some ultimas, and then he kills us with his single mighty ultima.

Now it's time for dinner. I'll be back later for Cyan's dream. I might go into Kefka's tower tonight, but the ending itself might have to wait until tomorrow.
